Pig Painting
Families and businesses throughout metro Denver are raising money for Families First as part of the “Drive for Community $Change$”. This unique fundraising program encourages people to adopt a piggy bank, to keep it in a prominent place at home or work and fill in with “change.” Before the piggy banks are adopted, children, students and adults paint the pigs in creative and imaginative designs.

Country Fair Goes Wild!
The Country Fair Goes Wild! is an off shoot of the “piggy bank” fundraising program called the Drive for Community $Change$. Supporters fill hand-painted piggy banks with pocket change and return the pigs to Families First when they are full. Once a year, Families First hosts a Piggy Bank Weigh-In party, the Country Fair goes Wild, where supporters can bring in their previously adopted pig or adopt a new one! The Country Fair goes Wild is one of the few fundraising events in the Denver area in which parents are strongly encouraged to bring their children. A host of activities have been scheduled to keep everyone busy and entertained—from face painting, to a scavenger hunt, a ride on the carousel, plus all the wildness the zoo has to offer!
